### <mark style="color:blue;">Other Tools and Supplies Not Included in the Installation Kit</mark>

{% columns %}
{% column %}
• Plumb Bob
\
• Drill
\
• 15/64" Drill Bit
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
• Pencil
\
• Laser Line Level (Optional)
\
• String
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
• 1-5
/8" Hole Saw
\
• String Line Level
\
• Spirit Level
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

### <mark style="color:blue;">Things to Know Before You Get Started</mark>

{% columns %}
{% column %}
• Read over the provided material prior to the start of your installation
\
• This is, at minimum, a 2 person job
\
• Viewrail Glass systems and fittings are designed to have a 1" gap between
&#x20;panels of glass
{% endcolumn %}

{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% columns %}
{% column %}
![](/files/KGq7NVV9ldEbXThIkg6q)

• Use a pencil and either a long straight edge or laser level
&#x20;to mark the pin placements based on the engineering
\
prints provided to you
\
• It is important to make sure the hole locations are in line
&#x20;and level to each other
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/1Famv1zzxhEOxfbz6aBt)

• It is important to mount glass structure to a solid
&#x20;material - **Do not mount any hardware to drywall or
&#x20;other compressible material**
\
• Use a drywall circle cutter or a 1-5
/8" hole saw to remove
&#x20;the drywall from the mounting location
\
• Try not to go any deeper than the drywall, as the center
&#x20;hole of the hole will need a pilot hole drilled into it to
&#x20;received a screw that will hold the standoff pin in place
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% columns %}
{% column %}
![](/files/GAjtkcOyO7NBBSMiy6wo)

**Drywall or Wood**
\
• Using a 15/64" drill bit, drill a pilot hole where the pencil
&#x20;lines cross about 4-1
/2" deep

\
**Concrete**
\
• Refer to the recommendation of the brand of epoxy
&#x20;you are using and predrill the correct sized holes for
&#x20;these 3
/8" threaded studs
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/HFYVmCF1jR8qVTi2KGfF)

**Drywall or Wood**
\
• Using a 3
/8" x 6" lag bolt & a 3
/8" washer, secure the
&#x20;Standoff Pin Mount into the holes drilled in Step 3
\
• The slotted hole is there to allow for some adjustment of
&#x20;the final position of the pins to ensure they line up with
&#x20;the holes in the glass

\
**Concrete**
\
• Apply concrete epoxy in to the holes as indicated
\
• Insert the threaded studs into each hole
\
• Allow the epoxy to cure per manufacturer’s specs
\
• Torque to 50 lb-ft

{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% columns %}
{% column %}
![](/files/ku9EIXnn9E9HLci22hNw)

• Once your standoff pin mount is centered, thread on the
&#x20;Standoff Pin Base
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/AjStwlhbhOfGBI3JUpMF)

• Using string and a line level, ensure that the upper row
&#x20;of pins are level with each other
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% columns %}
{% column %}
![](/files/S1ToCMpnmEzeYvjbV3xj)

• Following the same process as the upper row pins,
&#x20;mount the lower pins
\
• Ensure they are plumb
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/7BITbCREMWWI90ZqVhYo)

• Use the optional Standoff Pin Skirt to cover any wall
&#x20;blemishes
\
• Secure with a small amount of silicone
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% columns %}
{% column %}
![](/files/tO0IWKDIHkDA9qiK1PMZ)

• Thread a Standoff Pin Lock Screw into the standoff pin
&#x20;and secure it with a 3
/16" Allen wrench
\
• Place a plastic bushing onto each Standoff Pin cover

\
\&#xNAN;*<mark style="color:blue;">Note: Take this time to ensure the wall is cleaned of all pencil
&#x20;lines etc. before proceeding. There will be very little space
&#x20;between the wall and glass once it is mounted.</mark>*
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/2XZMx6sT1Atig0fjXy5G)

• Using glass suction cup handles, position the 1st glass
&#x20;panel into place
\
• Slide it over the plastic bushing on each pin
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% columns %}
{% column %}
![](/files/sWlhnWv9tmQEeIUFMQbt)

• While a partner holds the glass panel in place, select the
&#x20;remaining plastic washer and the Standoff Pin Cap
\
• Place the plastic washer on the cap’s threaded stud,
&#x20;and thread the Cap into the Standoff Pin Base
\
• This will hold the glass
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/nquVrwQSzYABycXE2LlT)

• Repeat Steps 10-11 for the remaining glass panels
\
• Ensure that glass panels are level and plumb with
&#x20;each other
\
• Tighten all Standoff Pin Caps the supplied strap wrench

\
\&#xNAN;*<mark style="color:blue;">Note: Because the holes made in the glass are bigger than
&#x20;the pins that hold them, you can position and reposition the
&#x20;glass to ensure that all panels line up the way they should.</mark>*
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}
