### Hidden Side Mount Glass Installation Steps

{% columns %}
{% column %}

• Measure your environment for the length of Glass Track you will need\
• If installing the Glass Track next to a wall, subtract 1-1/2"

from the measurement above for each side that borders a wall
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/hLDRSVonQTNki6APMhEE)

• Cut the Glass Track to the measurement figured out in **STEP 1** with a saw with a blade rated to cut Aluminum
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% columns %}
{% column %}
![](/files/4X53HnmgqrDG4fGjeei4)

• With help, hold the Glass Track up in the location that you intend to install it\
• The thickness of the top of the fascia cover will dictate the vertical placement of the Glass Track Thickness of the fascia cover material + 9/32" (.28125")

\ EXAMPLE A:\
Fascia Thickness: 1/2"\
Formula: 1/2" + 9/32"\= 25/32" from finished floor

\ EXAMPLE B:\
Fascia Thickness: 3/8"\
Formula: 3/8" + 9/32"\= 21/32" from finished floor
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/ZCVEIFTPe7mLdYui2hTt)

• Using the supplied hardware secure the Glass Track into position\
• It is not required to populate every hole in the track
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% columns %}
{% column %}
![](/files/8B6ioY7WcrJWtOtetlpm)

• Identify the correct glass or temporary plywood panels that will go on this run of railing\
• Thread (1) Hidden Track T-Nut and (1) Set Screw together for each panel mounting hole\
• Slide them in to the track grooves
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/Uw3cmJRzeoIbYx1AJvah)

MINIMUM 2 PEOPLE REQUIRED FOR THIS STEP\
• With someone holding the panel steady on the floor above the track, slide the Track T-Nut assemblies down the track to line them up with each pair of holes\
• Tighten each set screw using a 3/16" Allen wrench
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% columns %}
{% column %}
![](/files/rfkkGr5IvPzTfwGk83ro)

• Thread an Inner Sleeve Fitting over each Set Screw until finger tight\
• Slide a Combined Gasket over the Inner Sleeve Fitting\
• Use a level to align them
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/L1Nt85BnfmJfIhd9ivLc)

• Peel the backing off of the adhesive side of the Rubber Gaskets and discard\
• Attached the Rubber Gasket to the Hidden Side Mount Plate, ensuring to line up the holes and the adhesive adheres well to the back of the plate

\
\&#xNAN;*Note: Position the Hidden Side Mount Plate with the arrow facing up, and align the Rubber Gasket so the hole nearest the edge is at the top.*
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% columns %}
{% column %}
![](/files/B6Yr1iSBT3xidEIcAD42)

MINIMUM 2 PEOPLE REQUIRED FOR THIS STEP\
• Slide the glass or temporary plywood panel over each of the Combined Gaskets, moving them from side to side if needed to ensure proper alignment
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}

MINIMUM 2 PEOPLE REQUIRED FOR THIS STEP\
• While your partner holds the panel, slide each Hidden Side Mount Plate assembly (STEP 8) over each pair of Combined Gaskets
{% endcolumn %}

Glass Panel Install Only *(Excludes Temporary Plywood Panels)*\
• Using a 7/16" Allen wrench,turn the Inner Sleeve Fittings, in or out to change the alignment of the glass panel\
• Using a level, verify alignment of the panels along the top edge of the glass & vertically along the primary plane\
• Ensure there is a 1" gap between the glass panel and any other glass panel or wall\*

\
\&#xNAN;*Note: Our design teams use a standard 1"*\
*gap between glass panels and glass panels and walls. Ensure to review your prints to confirm the spacing for your system.*
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}
![](/files/HM19diN5Tl9dPXPqdF3f)

MINIMUM 2 PEOPLE REQUIRED FOR THIS STEP\
• Thread the provided 3/4" - 16 Low Profile Hex Nut over the exposed thread of each of the Inner Sleeve Fittings until snug

\
\&#xNAN;*Note: If installing temporary plywood panels, tighten the bolts until very snug. At this point your job is complete. You will complete the rest of the installation when you are ready to remove the plywood panels.*

Glass Panel Install Only *(Excludes Temporary Plywood Panels)*\
• Once the glass panel is plumb, use a torque wrench to secure the hex nuts to 35 lb-ft

While there are a few ways to accomplish these final steps, we have found this process to be the easiest.\
• Hang a Cover Fascia Clip on each of the glass mounting assemblies that you installed in previous steps but do not push down hard enough to clip in on\
• Apply a couple of strips of double sided adhesive tape to the front of each clip - try to not cover any mounting holes
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

Glass Panel Install Only *(Excludes Temporary Plywood Panels)*\
• With help, line up the finished fascia board so that it is plumb with the finished floor and any walls, other fascia boards or anything else that it will need to align with\
• Press it in towards the Clips and hold for a few moments\
• Carefully remove the fascia cover with the clips attached

\
\&#xNAN;*Note: Depending on your order, Viewrail may not supply the fascia board.*
