* Using the provided shop drawings, mark the center line from wall indicated in the shop drawings as “WALL TO CENTER OF STRINGER”
* Next use the same shop drawings to mark out the top of your header plate - This measurement will be called out either from the upper subfloor or finished floor down to top of header plate
* Line up the Header Plate Cover with the mark you made
* Trace out the hole pattern of the plate onto the header
  {% endcolumn %}

{% column %}

<figure><img src="/files/XGIYuew9dFou8e0VzYow" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Using an 11/64" drill bit, predrill directly in the center of the center slot you outlined in STEP 1

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: If your FLIGHT system has LED lighting and the shop drawings indicate that the power is to be run from the upper floor down to the LED controller inside the stringer tube, then boar out the larger bottom center hole and pull Romex through. It is important to not have any power running to the line at this stage
{% endhint %}
