Work Through and Approve Your Signature Cable Design

Review layout, engineering, and finish details before approving your final cable railing design for fabrication.

Once your quote is in progress, the project moves from concept to confirmed layout. This is where you lock in dimensions, mounting, infill, and finish details before fabrication.

This step covers Signature cable railing. Express uses a smaller set of pre-configured options, so some choices shown here do not apply to Express.

If you choose Express, go to Customize Your Express Cable Railing to review the standard option set. If you choose Signature, continue through the full customization process.

What you review

  • Design confirmation — a specialist reviews measurements, proposes layout, and confirms the main finish choices.

  • Engineering — post spacing, mount type, and structural details are refined to fit the project.

  • Project files and proposal — you receive labeled components, PDFs, 3D viewer links, freight details, and lead-time information.

Before you sign off

  • Verify dimensions, mount types, infill, and finish selections.

  • Confirm any code-driven items, including handrail requirements.

  • Double-check the ship-to address and installer details.

Changes after approval can add remake costs or extend lead time.

After approval

Once you sign off, your cable railing moves into fabrication. The system then ships to your home or your installer for delivery and installation.
